Tonight I went to see the movie Paycheck starring Ben Affleck.
The story is pretty cool and some parts reminded me of Total Recall.
Not all of the movie was great, some bits were really over the top if you ask me.
Uma Thurman also stars in the movie. Man, Quentin Tarantino really must have had her working over time for his 4th movie, Kill Bill.
I thought she looked awful in this movie.

Woohoo :)
I came home, immediately fired up Need For Speed Underground and finished race #112 at the first attempt.
I completed the Underground mode :)
Tony: good luck mate :)

This is a BlogThis! test.
I watched the Starsky & Hutch movie yesterday evening. What a hoot :)
I like how they exaggerate everything which IMO is only positive for the movie.
The original Starsky & Hutch actors also make an appearance at the very end of the movie which is always a nice thing to do.

Pfew, I'm about to finish up Need For Speed Underground.
I'm at race #112 (out of 111 ?) and have to deal with 4 hard laps (circuit mode).
Ofcourse, the creators of this game must have thought it was funny to end the game with my least favorite track thru Chinatown.
Anyways, I'm going to bed now so I can try to finish up the game somewhere tomorrow evening.
I went from race #103 to #112 in one evening (all races ofcourse on the 'Hard' difficulty setting) so I'm pretty tired right now.
Atleast my entire day wasn't ruined because of Schumachers win at the Maylasian GP since I did some winning of my own :)

It's finally weekend :)
This weekend Formula One moves to Sepang in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
Tomorrow morning the first practise sessions will be broadcast.
Here's hoping McLaren and Kimi can do something about the dominance the Ferrari team displayed in the seasons' opener in Australia.
Here's hoping for a great F1 weekend and a McLaren victory :)

Today, I had to pay the dentist a visit.
Unfortunately, my appointment was @ 11:20 so that broke my working day wide open.
I arranged to work from home because of this.
I've been seeing the same dentist for as long as I can remember and luckily the guy is no butcher.
I hate those dentist visits, don't you?
The dentist place is about 30 kilometers from my house so the drive didn't take that long.
I had to wait 20 minutes before I was called in though so that really sucked.
All is well, no major dentalwork was necessary fortunately.
So 6 more months of freedom before I have to return for my next visit, woohoo :)

I had to add a new directly-attached disk array to a filer today for a webhosting environment.
The current disk array is showing some severe issues.
We scheduled and announced a maintenance window to bring down all related services to add the array.
Me and a colleague got stuck in a reasonable traffic jam on-route to the DataCenter leaving us with little time to on-site prepare the new hardware we transported to the DataCenter.
After about an hour work we successfully completed the maintenance.
Now that the new array is in place we can announce some further downtime to backup and restore the content onto the new array.

When returning some DVD's to the local videostore this evening, I noticed the store was selling Mountain Dew softdrink.
This softdrink is very popular in the states.
Last summer me and my wife were on our honeymoon in California and at lots of places you could buy Mountain Dew.
I like it, I find it to be very different compared to all the regular softdrinks out there.
This is the very first store in Holland where I found a softdrink that I got very hooked on when we were in the states.
It so happens that there appears to be an American Food Service factory located in a place called Maarssen, that's actually the same place where my employer is currently located.
What a small world we live in.

Just installed Pure-FTPd .
Since its release zero ( 0 ) root exploits have been found.
Pure-FTPd has support for:
- virtual users (use a different password than your system account)
- PAM
- PostgreSQL/MySQL database support
- LDAP
It's very ease to install and also comes with an admin GUI.
